Before we started developing the fire alarm housings and the security system keyboard (another project we developed for Tiras), we decided on the main task: to create a modern, simple, and well-recognized design. Before we got down to business, competitors' devices were clearly ahead of the Tiras in appearance. It was necessary to create a new image using well-tested mechanics.

The devices must fit harmoniously into any interior. Forms should be simple and clear, not to attract too much attention.

The goal we set before the start of development: we need unusualness. The market for fire sensors is crowded, with everyone doing the same thing plus/minus the same thing. The Tiras Detector must be different. Since there are so many restrictions in terms of production cost, a simple form without undercuts is required.

The resulting design concept has a stretched surface with three large holes. It is very different from everything that is the undefined market.

During the development process, the industrial designer encountered difficulties related to the functionality of the device. The sensor has quite strict standards for passing fire tests, in this regard, we conducted experiments, constantly adjusting the design. At the same time, they tried to keep the image that customers already liked in the picture. undefined
